(Eugène Bernand, Peter and John Running to the Tomb, 1898)
Christ the King parish and school fosters a culture of vocations within the parish, school and families. We want all our young people to find their mission in life, the reason for which they were created and to say Yes to the Lord Jesus' call to join Him in His mission of salvation.
By virtue of our baptism, we are incorporated into the Mystical Body fo Christ, sharing in His saving mission. He calls each member of His Mystical Body to follow Him in a concrete, specific vocation (also called a "state of life"): priesthood, consecrated life and married life.

Check out our seminarians for the Archdiocese, several of whom have served in our parish, and pray for them!
Two initiatives that our parish supports for promoting priestly vocations and discernment are the Melchisedek Project and Quo Vadis Days.
The Melchisedek Project is a small group run at the parish periodically during the year for young men in high school to engage the process of vocational discernment. We meet to share a meal and discuss Fr. Brett Brannan's To Save a Thousand Souls.
Quo Vadis Days is a 3-Day camp founded in 2000 by our pastor and Fr. William Dillard, which has inspired similar camps in many other dioceses in the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia and has helped foster many priestly vocations. It is held at Camp Howard and run by the Archdiocesan Office of Vocations and staffed by seminarians. Campers spend three days of outdoor fun, prayer and talks to foster their discernment.
