Family of Faith is how we do family Faith formation at Christ the King.  Faith formation is not a program, even though we may use the Family of Faith text written by Sophia Institute.  Faith formation is how families work together to help one another deliver the Catholic Faith to their own children in the hope of Heaven. 

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE?

To help families grow closer to Christ and His Church. Our goal is to root parents in their identity as primary educators of the Faith for their children and to build the Kingdom of God through strengthening the domestic Church. 

WHO IS IT FOR? 

Family of Faith is for any family with children still living in the home. This includes families with infants, all the way to high school seniors. 

WHAT DO WE DO AT FAMILY OF FAITH? 

We meet a couple of times a month (for a day of learning and community building) after the 11 AM Sunday Mass.  We provide your entire family lunch, provide childcare, we conduct a parents meeting where you can relax with other parents as we grow in our Faith, while our kids do children's activities with catechists and teens participate in youth group. At the end of each meeting, families meet in the church to spend to time with Jesus face-to-face during Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. 

WHAT IF MY CHILD IS PREPARING FOR A SACRAMENT?

Family of Faith is for all parents whether you are preparing for a sacrament or not. For those who are preparing for Sacraments we have two special tracks: 1) First Reconciliation/First Communion and 2) Confirmation.   Your family will attend the general Family of Faith meetings and then will receive additional instruction focused on the sacrament your child is preparing for.
